Well said Mike, how long is it going to take to get us back to some sort of credibility and ‘normality’ - if ever. Possibly not in my lifetime - I’m 73. This government has made us an embarrassment to the world and difficult for the indigenous people to live in their own country as we’re being taxed out of existence!
The debasing of so many aspects of life in England leaves me feeling helpless, hopeless and, frankly, scared. Thugs rioting in shop, boys being stabbed by violent lowlife, women even more unsafe than ever, are excused on the grounds of class, colour, lack of opportunity - you know the rest. Having grown up poor on a council estate in east London in the 1960s and 70s, I am insulted and appalled by this liberal attitude; THESE THINGS DID NOT HAPPEN THEN. It is not being poor and badly educated that turns people into criminals. These people, trashing our society, are making a choice. They should pay for that choice.
Absolutely bang on! £1:99 a litre for Diesel outside Sittingbourne, Kent. A week prior to all this it was £1:41 - an increase of over 10 Bob in REAL money!!
The country has gone to hell, this so called leader couldn't tie his own shoe laces. Starmer other than the popular song suggests is also a clown, a joke, and also alienated our biggest allie thst helps keep us safe. Our own defences are another joke. The dry dock fleet rules the waves....I dont think so! Three more years of this......fuck me sideways! God help us.
Where I live in Spain, every festival the village puts up a temporary bullring. No actual bullfighting, just lads showing off, trying to jump the bull ,or put a ring on it's horn, or just generally getting as close as they dare before legging it.
Once the bull has had it's fun, they send in a old lady cow to lead the bull out of the ring and into a waiting truck. Sometimes it requires persuading with a few lads ushering it in.
Years ago there was an old boy - rumoured to be a retired matador - who would hover around, shirt off, waving his arms, but keeping out of the way. Once the bull was halfway back down the chute, he would flamboyantly enter the ring, slam the gate shut, turn towards the crowd and take the applause.
In 1944 Frederik Hayek (much beloved by a certain Margaret Thatcher) authored a book titled "The Road to Serfdom". The present day parallels are truly worrying and frightening. Consider the following "The one thing modern democracy will not bear without cracking is the necessity of a substantial lowering of the standards of living in peace time or even prolonged stationariness of its economic conditions". (There is enough evidence to show that this is already happening.)
Hayek also poses, and partly responds, to a question "What are the fixed poles now which are regarded as sacrosanct, which no reformer dare touch since they are treated as the immutable boundaries which must be respected in any plan for the future? They are no longer the liberty of the individual, his freedom of movement and scarcely that of speech".
Since 1997 this country has been blighted by third rate politicians who have dragged us so far down Hayek's road that it is difficult to see a way back.
Well said MG👍👊👏👏🙏

Great breakdown of what is really hurting citizens. Clear, concise, and no BS.

The lies...the hypocrisy...and that's just Starmer...
Spot on again Mike.

Trump didn't force a cease fire on Iran at all. He was desperate.

That's who Keir Starmer reminds me of!
Very well said Mike, spot on as usual 👏
Too true!

Oh goodness me. It goes from back to worse.
I’m struggling to not pour myself a large drink before 11.00am xxx
Well said! ….. the powers that be are not listening though…… they simply do not care or are too thick to see what’s going on in front of their eyes ……
Bravo . well said .
Mike, I agree.
As you often say, IT AINT ROCKET SCIENCE!
Social engineering has a lot to answer for, as does ideological blind stupidity!
